FAQ

As an on-framework agency, our roles offer negotiable rates of pay based on your level of experience and location within the UK. You’ll be able to find the specific pay banding for any role you’re interested in on its respective job description page.

In the UK, both a junior doctor and a resident doctor mean the same thing: a doctor who has completed medical school and foundational training, and works at a hospital or healthcare setting under the supervision of a senior doctor. As of September 18, 2024, the British Medical Association (BMA) have replaced the term ‘junior doctor’ with ‘resident doctor’ in all communications.

As part of the ongoing educational nature of a junior doctor role, you’ll often be learning from senior practitioners as you go about your daily duties. This could include maintaining accurate patient records based on tests and examinations, prescribing medications (often under supervision), and collaborating with other staff throughout a hospital.
