Health Trust Europe
In 2020, Athona was awarded places on three different lots with HTE. Being awarded Lot 3a of this Framework allows us to supply Medical Locums and GPs across all medical grades and specialities on a temporary basis. Athona’s position on Lot 3b grants us permission to supply nursing and care services. Whilst Lot 3c allows us to supply AHP & HSS of all grades, bands and sub-specialities. Additionally, Athona has also been awarded a place on the HTE permanent framework – covering Lot 1a (for national recruitment solutions for UK bank and permanent healthcare workers) and Lot 1b (permanent recruitment solutions for international healthcare workers).
Securing places on these lots will allow us to support the NHS in addressing healthcare worker shortages, ensuring that trusts are reducing agency spend and increasing the number of permanent healthcare workers they are supplying.
Now, more than ever, ensuring the NHS is fully supported is our number one priority and we’re delighted to continue working alongside our clients to facilitate this.

The CPD Certification Service
In January 2020 we held the first of our Advisory Board seminars, where we received feedback from our candidates who expressed interest in finding different ways of attaining CPD points. As we’re always striving to do more for our candidates, it wasn’t long before we took the steps to become CPD accredited.
Since 2021 Athona has been CPD accredited and approved as an official member of CPD UK. This now means we are able to run CPD accredited courses and ensure healthcare professionals get the best from their training and development.
