Originally founded back in 2003 by our Founder, Stewart London, this August, we’ve celebrated our 20th anniversary and have recognised this huge accomplishment by ‘Going Gold for Twenty Years’. To achieve this, we have changed our logo to gold on our website and all accompanying social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. To further highlight this outstanding milestone, we have exclusively hired Alec’s restaurant in Navestock to celebrate as a whole company. This evening will be hosted by Founder and Director, Stewart and Tina London and is set to be a fabulous night of celebrations for the whole company.
A message from Athona’s Founder and Director
Stewart London, Founder of Athona, said on our internal milestones: “Being able to offer more and more internal careers has been very exciting for me. We’ve now had people who have been with the business for over 15 years and we’ve seen them grow within the company, seen their families grow and their lives change along the way. All of these things are important in life, so for me in terms of milestones, there are many within the business, but also outside the business itself, and these milestones are just as important to me”.
Tina London, Director of Athona, said on this celebration of 20 years: “Over the last 20 years, it’s been wonderful to see the business continue to grow and witness the vast changes to the recruitment industry. We are thrilled to celebrate this outstanding achievement with our employees as all one team”.
A highlight of just a few of our milestones and achievements over the years
Since 2003, we have seen many key milestones across the business, both internally and externally with our candidates and clients. From promoting two Managing Directors internally, moving into larger offices in 2018 as we expanded, to being recognise by Recruiter ‘Fast 50’ numerous times and consistently receiving platinum compliance and audit results, we are far from slowing down.
As a business, we continue to excel in the recruitment industry and always strive to be masters in our craft. We have proven this on multiple occasions throughout the past 20 years such as, launching new teams within the business as their reach of specialties we cover have drastically expanded. From originally opening our Anaesthetics desk back in 2003, we rapidly started growing which has led to us now covering, acute doctors, psychiatrists, allied health professionals and nurses of all specialties across the UK. Furthermore, we also launched Athona Education back in 2007, placing teachers and support staff of all levels.
Particularly proud for our charity work over the years, we have been fortunate enough to build a reputable and trustworthy brand for ourselves. This in turn has led to us partnering with some incredible charities and organisations – specifically over the last 10 years. Charities including: Little Haven’s Children’s Hospice, The Guide Dogs, Saint Francis Hospice, Médecins Sans Frontières, Brentwood Mind, The Blue Cross, Alzheimer’s Society, The South Essex Wildlife Hospital, Cancer Research, Age UK (Redbridge, Barking and Havering) and DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal, are all causes near and dear to our heart and we feel extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to make a real difference over the years.
