Inspired by the psychiatrists they work with, our Psychiatry desk decided to fundraise for the mental health charity Mind recently – by running 5K wearing Santa outfits!
Undeterred by the wind and the rain, our intrepid team completed the course in good time – all the team finished within 35 minutes – and so far they have raised over £1,000. The total will increase too, as money is still coming in, both online and offline.
Rebecca Coates, Business Manager for Mental Health, said, “The idea came from working with psychiatrists on a daily basis. They were the people who inspired us to do it and their support kept us going when we were struggling to get round the course!”
