Job Title: Ward Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Manager to join a 13-bed service based in Reading. This full-time permanent position is based in rehabilitation centre providing support for individuals with schizophrenia including treatment-resistant, schizoaffective disorder, depression and anxiety.
The role is available to start as soon as possible but can accommodate notice periods of up to 8 weeks. The position offers a competitive salary of £45,000 plus benefits. The role will be predominantly Monday to Friday, the occasional weekend and/or night working may be required to provide supervision to the night staff. The post holder is expected to participate in the on-call rota for the service.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, your key responsibilities are:
· Manage and develop a highly skilled and motivated workforce through recruitment, selection, development and performance management processes.
· Ensure the effective and efficient management and control of staffing, budgets, materials and equipment.
· Promote an effective working relationship across the multidisciplinary teams.
· Contribute to the development of the company policies, procedures, processes and initiatives.
· Ensure clinical services comply with statutory regulations and current legislation, meet quality standards and deliver against key performance indicators.
· Managing the effective implementation of clinical interventions and treatment designed to enhance the operation and quality of clinical services evaluating through clinical governance and audit.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
· A relevant professional qualification
· A recognised post registration qualification together with full membership of NMC
· At least 2 years of managerial experience within a care setting
· To be highly organised and perform well under pressure
· A strong desire for change and innovation
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
