Job Description

Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a psychologist to cover both acute and eating disorder ward to develop, deliver and evaluate psychological treatment using a person centred approach to assist patients in achieving their positive life goals and optimum level of functioning.

Salary: £13,200-£16,133 (FTE £45,000-£55,000)

Position: Psychologist – Acute & ED

Hours: Part Time (11hrs)

Location: PR4

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

  • Professionally registered with HCPC

The Hospital has established an excellent reputation for offering calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 38 service users.

You will work within the eating disorder and acute wards, this role will involve the development, delivery and evaluation of psychological treatment using a person centred approach to assist our patients in achieving their positive life goals and optimum level of functioning.

The role will require enhanced organisational skills and the ability to work independently and pro actively. You will independently facilitate 1:1 sessions for all patients on a weekly basis. Consequently experience of Eating Disorders is essential. Experience of group facilitation is also required.

The role is varied, involving direct and indirect clinical work, MDT decision making, staff training and supervision. To function to the required level within this role excellent communication skills are required with the clinical team, patients and wider community agencies. The successful candidate will be involved in the evaluation and development of key aspects of the service.
