Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for a Principal Psychologist to join our client. This is a part-time role where you’ll be working with individuals who have a range of complex mental health needs. Salary: Up to £49,600pa (FTE Up to £62,000)
Position: Principal Psychologist
Hours: 32 hours per week (part-time)
Setting: Specialist Mental Health Services
Location: Somerset
Key Responsibilities:
· Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
· Conduct psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups.
· Develop care plans collaboratively with the MDT.
· Provide training, supervision, and consultation to colleagues and teams.
· Evaluate service quality and contribute to development and clinical research.
· Present and disseminate outcomes via conferences and publications.
· Support individuals with complex mental health needs, including self-harm and aggression.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
· HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist qualification.
· At least 3 years’ experience in a clinical or mental health setting.
· Training in complex therapies like Schema Therapy, DBT, or Cognitive Analytical Therapy.
· Passion for working with people with complex mental health needs.
· Ability to treat issues like self-harm, aggression, and substance abuse.
