We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for an Associate specialist Neuropsychiatrist working for a private secure service based in Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time role, providing psychiatric care to mixed gender patients with brain injuries.

Salary: £85,000 per annum

Position: Associate specialist Neuropsychiatrist

Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Setting: 38 bed Neurological Centre

Location: Cambridgeshire

For this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearing reports under the supervision of consultant.
  • Provide medical reports and attend CPA meetings to review care of patients with NHS England case managers and community care co-ordinators
  • Providing oral evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearings under the supervision of the Consultant (Depending on your experience).
  • Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching if required.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients are able to access appropriate medical cover at all times and participate in the on-call rota.
  • Participate in learning activities and supervision
  • Deliver staff training

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Full GMC registration
  • Experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams
  • To be linked in with an appraisal/RITA process within the last year
  • Experience in Psychiatry
  • Experience working as a doctor within similar environment
  • MRCPsych (desirable)
