Job title: Pharmacist Team Leader

Band: 8A

Location: West London

Hours: up to 37.5 Hours per week (must be able to commit to at least 3 days a week)

Rates: £36ph – £56ph

To be considered for this role you need a minimum of 6 months NHS experience within the last 2 years.

Job description:

You must be able to :

  1. Ensure compliance of self and team members, with medicines legislation, policies and procedures
  2. Ensure a safe, legal and timely supply of medication to patients
  3. Work independently and also liaising closely with the other Senior Pharmacists, Principal Pharmacists, Chief Pharmacist and Chief Technicians.
  4. Be responsible for the day-to-day planning and provision of the clinical pharmacy and medicines management services in the Women’s and Children service and to ensure timely delivery of services in line with key performance indicators
  5. Positively influence cost effective prescribing
  6. Assist in the development of clinical guidelines, protocols and Patient Group Directions (PGDs)
  7. Professionally and managerially support the Principal Pharmacists when required.
  8. To act as first point of contact for clinical practitioners and management personnel in matters relating to the Pharmacy practice in the Women’s and Children service.
  9. To be professionally accountable for his/her own practice and for that of others in his/her field of practice
  10. Provide effective leadership to the Women’s and Children service staff and across the pharmacy team.

This agency nursing role gives the option of flexible working, where you would be able to choose If you would like to pick up full time or part time work.
