Athona attended afternoon tea for one of our fantastic doctors who is trekking through the Sahara Desert this October to raise funds for The Royal College of Pathologists Global Health Work.
Stella and Tanya were honoured to attend Dr Effie’s afternoon tea earlier this month, held at the beautiful Marygreen Manor, Brentwood. They have both worked with Dr Effie for quite some time now, so it was great for them to be part of such a wonderful day.
Dr Effie hosted a wonderful and glamorous event, which started with drinks held in the beautiful summer gardens. Guests then made their way to the impressive Tudor rooms where they indulged in beautifully crafted cakes, delicious scones and finger sandwiches.
Shortly after the afternoon tea, the raffle begun. The prizes were incredibly exciting and luxurious, ranging from luxury hampers to fantastic getaways. Athona donated an indulgent Harrods hamper; we’re told the winner was delighted!
The venue was packed full of friends, family, and supporters of Dr Effie and her truly worthwhile cause – The Global Healthcare. The whole day was a wonderful experience and had a fantastic atmosphere.
